AFRICALIVES! PRODUCTIONS is dedicated to projects empowering individuals and communities whilst promoting positive social change. In a world where Africa is often depicted as a dying, hungry, unresourful continent, we aimed to challenge these stereoptypes with our projects: films, plays, theatre workshops or artwork. 

 

   

AFRICA LIVES! FILMS produces films for charities andcompanies promoting positive social change.   

We combine work experience with many broadcasters in the UK and overseas such as the BBC, ITV, Channel 4, TV5 Monde, workshops and trainings  with industry professional. Visit the FILMS section.

 "Congo- A Common Cause - from London to Bukavu"  was selected and screened at the CONGO HARLEM 3 Film Festival Series in New York.

 
It was a great privileve for our no budget film to be in the company of such films as Blood in the MobileBenda Bilili, Kinshasa Symphony, Murder in Kinshasa, Viva Riva! or Papy (Mon Histoire).

Beyond the African borders, AfricaLives! Productions symbolises the many struggles for Social Justice and is not only limited to african culture, people of african heritage or origin. AFRICALIVES! PRODUCTIONS  area of work includes THEATRE, FILMS and ART. 

 

 

AFRICALIVES! THEATRE With an extensive experience in fringe theatre on various topics such as female genital mutilation, slavery, Congolese Independence ,we seek to produce play with strong social and political impact.

"CONGO INDEPENDENCE" Play preview at the Hive Theatre (Old Peanut factory)

part of the Hackney Wicked Festival - 29 July 2011-
 
AFRICALIVES! THEATRE took part in the Hackney Wicked Festival in collaboration with the Hive Theatre, with a play preview by Shana Mongwanga.  
 
The play relates the early days of the Congolese independence. 
A retro play based on real stories.  
 
we received an overwhelming support and more performances will be scheduled for October 2011.
